perhaps gatecrashers

moist,

staring

leaving an echo on it's surface

of floating,
its dark
the sides are shallow.

just floating

A daily ritual - peeping in,
spying new growth,
a shadow - shape shifting
leaf falling - landing,
consumed - decaying,
feeding - restoring.

it springs from a dark rock,
from beneath the water surface,

August and another month. I have a new pond, its just in the development stage, growing, plants and rocks bedding in. I am going to be writing my moments in time on observations and experiences around this new and changing environment.
